I’ll have to admit, I was a reluctant channel. And on that fateful day 7 years ago when I was visited by Archangel Uriel and asked to begin to work with him, my first response was ‘no, thank you.’ Not because I didn’t think I could do it, but because I thought that I was the wrong person for the job. There were surely other people in the world who were willing, committed to this path, who had already said they wanted to do this and who knew more than I did. After all, I had been working on developing my corporate career for more than twenty years and despite five layoffs, was committed to it. But Uriel was insistent and eventually I agreed. The following story was written by Claudette Foy several years ago and submitted to me to be include in When God Spoke to Me. I had originally accepted the story, but when my publisher asked me to cut the number of stories from 101 to 70, I went through the arduous task of eliminating a lot of wonderful stories. This was one of them…
"This was the lowest point of my life. I felt unable to handle any more problems, illnesses, or deaths. The past year had been so emotionally and physically draining. My eighty-eight-year-old mother had been so sick. We weren’t sure if she would live or die. As she began recovering, my younger sister ended up in the Critical Care Unit, intubated and semi-conscious. She had been diagnosed with a serious lung disease and had suffered a heart attack. Several dear friends had died as well, and our last living relative, Aunt Doris, passed away. My friend’s daughter, who was 5 months pregnant, lost the baby girl she was carrying. Another friend had cancer and another committed suicide.

The Gentle Art of Blessing by Pierre Pradervand
Jul 20th, 2010 | by DavidPaul Doyle
An excerpt from "The Gentle Art of Blessing" by Pierre Pradervand… "On awakening, bless this day, for it is already full of unseen good which your blessings will call forth; for to bless is to acknowledge the unlimited good that is embedded in the very texture of the universe and awaiting each and all.
Giving and Receiving Blessings Sermon
Jul 20th, 2010 | by Jill Sabin Carel
Good morning. It is a blessing to be here with you today. My sermon topic is "Giving and Receiving Blessings."
I prayed for inspiration on the subject of blessings. I was so successful in my prayer, and God was so generous with me, that I had pages and pages of notes about blessings. It was hard to pick and choose what to share with you today. There are so many facets to what we consider to be blessings – like joy, healing, grace, and gratitude.
Creative Questions (Good-bye Affirmations)
Jun 16th, 2010 | by DavidPaul Doyle
Hi, DavidPaul Doyle here. As a longtime practitioner and admirer of the Work of Byron Katie, I’ve always believed that curiosity was a quality of Being, one of the many qualities available to us for developing a holy relationship with our thoughts. Recently my friend, Dr. Monica Garaycoechea, sent me an article on creative questioning that I wanted to share with you. It may just open a door within you…
"Creative QUESTIONS: The New ‘Feminine Way of Thinking’ …(Good-bye Affirmations)
You have probably heard that your thoughts are responsible for your experiences. I have spent many years working with affirmations, focusing on changing the way my mind or my thinking is programmed. After the exciting discovery of my personal, True Essence, I understood how important it was to align my mind with my True Nature. For example, it is one thing to ‘Know’ from experience that I am One with everything; that I am One with Love or Beauty. It is another thing to move my mind to become habituated to think Love or Beauty, Freedom or Oneness.
Love and Freedom
Jun 16th, 2010 | by DavidPaul Doyle
Hi, DavidPaul Doyle here. I want to share an article with you that my friend, Sarah Maria, wrote. It’s on love and freedom … something I think we all need in our lives. I hope you enjoy it!
"One of the defining themes of my adult life has been this something that I refer to as Love. When the universe forced me into personal crisis a few years ago, it slowly became apparent that a key issue was love. Ever since then, my life has become, in one form or another, a meditation on love:
What is love?
How do I love myself?
Why does my heart feel broken?
Will I ever feel loved?
How do I love and be loved?
Does love exist?
Is it just an idea, or is it something real?
Beautiful Holy Spirit Sermon

She is a Certified Voice for Love Teacher and Spiritual Counselor, as well as a Voice for Love Ordained Minister. Recently, Karen was asked to deliver the Sunday sermon at two local Lutheran churches in her area. She sent me a copy of her sermon, and I loved it so much I wanted to share it with you. Here it is … I hope you enjoy it!
Forgiveness Overcomes Justice
May 6th, 2010 | by DavidPaul Doyle
It’s true. I was working like a crazy man up until the day of my book launch for When God Spoke to Me on March 17. Since then, I’ve cut back my crazy hours and have gone back to a “normal” life. This past weekend, I took three days off and took myself camping. I went to a beautiful lake about one hour away located at the base of Mount McLaughlin in Southern Oregon. I spent those three days sleeping, meditating, contemplating, journaling, eating, sitting around the campfire, and hiking. On my first night, I slept 14 hours and meditated for three hours upon waking. Boy did I need that! I spent a lot of time meditating over those three days and sought a lot of guidance and communication from God on what was next in my life, how I should focus my time and attention from here on out, and so many other important questions for me. It was a fabulous weekend. I came back refreshed, rejuvenated, refocused, and very very peaceful. Today, I’d like to tell you a little story about something that happened while I was there. The Evolution of Truth
Apr 13th, 2010 | by DavidPaul Doyle
The Evolution of Truth is a concept that can greatly help you to experience God’s voice in your life. What is the evolution of truth? It is the concept that God speaks to us exactly "where we are." The Voice of God within us uses our unique life experience, our history, our education, our personality, our upbringing, our culture, and everything about us to speak to us. For example, you could line up ten people and have them all ask God’s voice the same exact question. You know what? They’re all going to hear something unique from one another because each one of those people has a different belief system, background, education, understanding of truth, and is learning a unique set of lessons in their life.
